Development of theory of energy transformation in combustion owing to generation of mechanical energy as a result of expansion of rapidly burning gas portions, organization of wave motion, utilization and transportation of the generated energy. Justification of a possibility of realization and achievable degree of energy transformation in machines with theoretical efficiency tending to unity. Development of physico-mathematical models of combustion and gasification of solid fuels. The study of the prospects of using fast gas dynamic processes in chemical apparatuses. The study of potentials of new types of multifunctional diskrotor machines.
